Dual fixed frames for longevity

Our security screens are fixed to the frame using an innovative two-part process. Screens are both chemically bonded and machine clamped into the frame. No other competitor product comes close to this process. Importantly, the mesh does not touch the frame at any point, as this would make it subject to galvanic corrosion.

Strength where it counts
All doors and screens are only assembled with solid metal corner stakes to fortify each corner, making every aspect of the product robust and strong. Most security products fail at frame corners due to using inferior materials such as plastic or cold-welded hollow aluminium.

Protected against the elements
We only use 316 marine-grade stainless steel in all our products with a two-pack coating, providing added protection against corrosion in coastal environments or iron-rich, red-dustprone areas. The process undertaken sees the mesh chemically stripped, chromated, coated, and baked dry. It’s then two-pack coated again by repeating the painting process before being coated with a finishing protection layer. This is without a doubt the best finish in the market. This powder coat process means all LockShut security screens and doors feature a 20-year warranty – the longest warranty on the market by far.

Large screens without compromising on strength and security
Our innovative patented tensioning system is yet unmatched. It allows us to build very large screens (4020mm x 1845mm for window screens and 4085mm x 1930mm for doors) without the screen flexing or bowing and without the need of a horizontal mid-rail. This means, no matter what size security screen or door you get from us, you will have an unobstructed view free of any mid-rail. This also eliminates any chance of sliding doors rubbing on each other or the glass door frame. In terms of the view, our products feature no black trim or screw strip between the screen and the frame. There is no trim at all. The product flows seamlessly from frame to mesh.
